The digest: a highly stylized graphic novel which follows Lya's attempt to uncover the reckless driver who put her in a wheelchair the day before her seventeenth birthday. The story is good, the setting believable, and the artwork simply amazing. If you like lowkey revenge/investigative plots and/or diverse casts then this is for you.
The digest: building on everything that made the first volume so enjoyable, I cannot recommend this comic book highly enough to anyone with an interest in Greek myths and retellings. If you have read my review for Alcyon #1, you already know pretty much everything I'm going to say here.
The digest: Do you like comics? Do you like myth retellings/adaptations? If so then this issue is a must-read. This is a great start to what seems to be a promising story, with fantastical elements and interesting characters/
The digest: Enjoyable artwork and cool character design, but probably only worth a look if you've read the previous series (The Only Living Boy).
The digest: An overhyped graphic novel proves to be overhyped. Its execution is severely lacking, meaning that whilst the underlying premise is a decent one, I'd struggle to recommend this graphic novel to anyone.
