4/5. I am now eager to hunt down a copy of Blackwing (the first entry in this series) and find out exactly what on earth happened at the end of The Breaking of the Sky. I don't feel as if I missed out by not already having that prior knowledge, instead, with the nods to and omissions of certain details acting as perfect points of intrigue and make me want to pick up the series.

4/5. Another solid piece from the first edition of Three Crows Magazine!
The digest: Shattered Dreams is the first novel that I have read from author Ulff Lehmann, and it most definitely won’t be the last. With a strong, well-integrated cast of characters, interweaving plot lines, well-executed action scenes, and immense world building, there is everything fans of epic fantasy present.
The digest: a fun and uplifting fantasy/romance novel that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to people looking for a less serious foray into a supernatural setting.

The digest: Not the wonder I thought it would be.

The digest: an action-packed, visceral, enthralling stand-alone fantasy novel in Hayes' shared universe. A must-read for fantasy fans - whether you are familiar with the author's previous work or not. Expect a lot of blood and violence - elements of the barbarity of humanity condensed into the best continuous 300 pages I have read this year.
